June 23 & 24 St John's Eve Celebrations with Hypericum perforatum at Red Beet Row
Join me and herbalists Leah Wolfe, Nicki Schneider and flower essence practitioner Sandy Engle for a once-a-year opportunity to celebrate St John's wort.
St John's wort, Hypericum perforatum, is known as a trophorestorative and a nervine. This herb has a tantalizing mythology with a host of lore surrounding its use. It's been used when working with mild depression, burns, sciatica, bed-wetting and more.
Named after Saint John the Baptist, celebrations will begin 7PM 23 June. How this amazing medicinal herb became associated with St John one can only guess, although in the northeast, it is often found flowering at the time of the solstice.
Join us for this overnight and in-depth exploration. We'll be covering spirit medicine, mythology and folklore, flower essences, medicine making and in-depth discussions of its medicinal uses.
Our program will run from 7-9PM Saturday through 10-5 on Sunday, the 24th. We're offering a sliding scale for this event, $80-$100. Red Beet Row 2873 East Maple Row Ashtabula, OH
