November 11th - Kampo Medicine (Level One) and with Dr. Frank Yurasek - November 12th
After attending this Level One hands-on intensive, you will be able to bring Kampo Japanese Herbal Medicine back to your clients.
Saturday afternoon’s session (2-6PM) will begin with the demonstration and practice of the 4 Examinations: Looking, Listening, Touching and Asking, with specific focus on Hara Diagnosis. This will be followed by an explanation of the Sho (Kampo diagnosis) of Qi Deficiency, and a discussion of related Kampo formulas.
On Sunday (9AM-1PM) Dr. Yurasek will explain the Sho of Blood Deficiency, Blood Stasis (Ketsu), Qi Stagnation and Deficiency, and common sources of pain syndromes. Included in this segment will be identifying the effective Kampo formulas associated with each of these categories of Sho.
Dr. Frank Yurasek, RH(AHG),LAc and V.P. World Federation of Acupuncture Societies is coming to Erie. Frank’s training with Dr. Wantanabe in Tokyo and his 32 years of experience derived from hands-on practice, in addition to his last 6 years as Director of Acupuncture with the Cook County Hospital in Chicago, make him eminently suited to teach this intensive.
