About Us

Leslie— For Leslie, medical herbalism brings together years of using herbs, her passion for the outdoors and her scientific background in health-related research. The latter helps to provide insights which she applies to her clinical practice. Drawn increasingly to a more natural way of healing, Leslie retrained as a Medical Herbalist and is a professional member of the American Herbalist’s Guild. Actually, she is one of five professional members in Pennsylvania and the only Registered Herbalist in the Western region of the state.

Leslie’s approach is always holistic, focusing on cause as well as relief. She seeks to understand the whole person, not just symptoms. She believes that most often the body can heal itself if restored to balance and given the correct support. It’s not just her herbal knowledge or her attention to detail that results in health improvements for her clients; her empathy and willingness to listen benefit each individual.

Additionally, she works with Sonja in the gardens of Restoration Herbs, as well as designing gardens for others, giving presentations and holding workshops…there’s even rumor of a book. Leslie plays the violin almost as well as Sonja plays the piano and was last seen garbling roots, shoots and leaves.
