May 1st Learning Hebrew: Is it for you? 6-8pm at the YWCA in Oil City
Contact the YWCA at 676-6528.

Ever thought about it? Perhaps didn’t know where to start? Hebrew’s distinctive alphabet is read from right to left. Like Aramaic and later Greek, Hebrew is one of the first languages of the Bible. This evening’s class will be a fun, ‘hands on’ introduction. We’ll cover parts of the alphabet, learn to pronounce, read and write a few words and, of course, have a good time. If you’re curious about what the evening might hold or, if you might consider carrying on to learn to read and write this both ancient and modern language, then learning Hebrew is for you. (OK, this isn’t herbal, but may be of interest.)
