You may well ask, “What’s the 402 project?”
A few years ago Leslie began collecting information about past and present uses of medicinal herbs within the Jewish culture.
She’s interested in stories, lore, anecdotes and real life experiences; what your grandfather or your great-grandmother may have told you. She’s curious about the “nitty gritty” of those remedies that you have come to know.
Perhaps you remember onion poultices? Onion cookies? The use of schmaltz to relieve respiratory symptoms? Teas to settle stomachs? Mustard foot-baths? Or garlic to relieve earaches?
What was in the chicken soup besides the meat of a chicken!?
